Supports JPG, PNG, WebP
Lower quality shrinks file size more but may cause visible artifacts.
PNG keeps transparency. Quality below 100 quantizes colors to shrink size; if the result isn't smaller, the original is kept.
Image Compressor — Shrink File Size Without Changing Format or Dimensions
Image Compressor reduces the file size of JPG, PNG and WebP images directly in your browser. The output keeps the same format and the same pixel dimensions — only the file size gets smaller. Add a single image or a whole batch, adjust the quality, then download each file or everything at once as a ZIP.
How to Compress an Image
- Add one or more JPG, PNG or WebP images by clicking or dragging them into the drop zone.
- Choose a quality level — lower quality produces smaller files with more visible compression artifacts.
- Click Compress All; every image is re-encoded locally at its original dimensions and format.
- Check the before/after sizes and savings, then download each file or the whole batch as a ZIP.
Quality Tips
- JPG: quality 60–80 usually cuts photo file size by 50% or more with little visible difference.
- WebP: often 25–35% smaller than JPG at equal quality and keeps transparency.
- PNG: lossless by design; quality below 100 quantizes its colors (transparency kept), and the original is kept if there is no gain.
- Screenshots with large flat areas compress extremely well — try quality 50–70.
